About Clinton Electric

Founded in 1981 by Eugene (Gene) and Barbara Clinton, Clinton Electric, Inc., located in Ina, Illinois, specializes in industrial and commercial electrical contracting. Gene’s career in the electrical industry began in 1963 as an apprentice with IBEW Local Union 702, eventually advancing to Journeyman Electrician, General Foreman, and Superintendent before founding the company.

Over the years, Clinton Electric has grown steadily, establishing a reputation for high-quality workmanship and expertise in diverse electrical construction settings, including manufacturing, healthcare, education, sports, correctional facilities, utilities, banking, retail, restaurants, and more. A major office expansion in 2000 supported continued growth, and the second generation of the Clinton family assumed leadership in 2010, continuing the company’s commitment to excellence.

As a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and affiliated with IBEW Local Union 702, Clinton Electric provides an experienced workforce capable of handling new construction, renovations, repairs, general maintenance, plant shutdowns, and emergency projects. While primarily serving southern Illinois, the company also travels further to meet customer needs.
